New Intranet - New Co-worker

Our head of marketing communications wrote an introductory welcome message for our company's new Intranet. He chose the headline "Introducing Your New Co-worker". I think it is a great tittle and reflects the potential of our new platform.

We are starting with the basics. We plugged business staff into the project early. They own content for their public and private sites on the platform. The early feedback is very positive. Resources that were hard to find are now easily within reach of the people that need them. It is exciting to see people rally around something that has the potential to really improve collaboration across the company.

We are becoming more geographically diverse and the new platform, built on SharePoint, will help create more of a sense of employee community. I have been involved in several Intranet launches in the past. This one, while low key, has been fun to watch unfold. Our executive team saw an sneak peak last week and they were impressed with the content and potential. In IT, we sometimes forget how simple things can make a difference. I am fortunate to have such a capable team. Monday is our official launch day. I will let you know how people warm up to the platform in the coming months.
